Turning Points is a transformative six-day music program delivered by Grow the Music (GTM). It has been successfully implemented with various groups, including men in the criminal justice system at Adele House, adults from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, individuals focused on men's mental health, and women seeking empowerment. The program blends cultural exploration led by elders, storytelling, music production, and performance to foster connection, self-expression, and personal growth. Empowered Self-Expression and Confidence Participants developed the skills and confidence to articulate their personal stories and emotions through music, fostering personal growth and emotional well-being. Strengthened Community and Cultural Connection The program built a sense of belonging and mutual understanding among participants, while deepening connections to cultural identity through collaboration and storytelling guided by Aboriginal Elders. Creation and Performance of Original Music Participants produced and performed polished, original songs, gaining technical skills in music production and performance, as well as a lasting appreciation for the power of creative expression.
